Shon Dale-Jones, Hoipolloi’s Artistic Director and co-writer David Farmer read Edward Lear’s nonsense poetry and decide that it would be a great idea to write a new show for Hoipolloi’s ensemble (group) of actors based on his work. |

Hoipolloi’s ensemble of five actors plus Shon and some other very clever people gather in a rehearsal room and begin to improvise around Edward Lear’s work, playing with different ideas, characters and stories. At this point, nothing is wrong and any contribution is welcome. |
